Dr. Parth Amin is no stranger to Southaven. He attended grade school at Sacred Heart and finished high school at Desoto Central. He later graduated as Magna Cum Laude from the University of Memphis with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering. Dr. Amin later changed career paths and decided to attend Southern College of Optometry (SCO) where he then graduated from in 2019. Dr. Amin joined Corporate Optometry in Memphis, TN, where he realized that he belonged in a private practice, and returned back home to Southaven.
As a licensed optometrist, Dr. Amin provides exams, diagnoses, and treatments of all disorders that are vision related or affect the eye. He is trained to recognize a range of health issues; such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetes and hypertension. Dr. Amin works hard to stay current on the latest advances in eye health & vision care, and regularly attends continuing education seminars as well as advanced training courses.
It is because of Dr. Amin's dedication to continuing education that our Southaven patients receive the most modern and progressive vision care available. When out of the office, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, running, hiking, and watching the Memphis Tigers and Grizzlies play. Dr. Parth Amin looks forward to serving and giving back to the community he calls home.
Dr. Kamil A Hill, a native of Vicksburg, MS looks forward to serving the DeSoto County area. Dr. Hill attended Tougaloo College for his Bachelor’s in Biology and received a Master’s in Biomedical Sciences at Mississippi College. After a brief stint in academia, Dr. Hill found his true calling in optometry. At that point, he discovered how he could best serve others, as well as pursue his secondary love of research.
Dr. Hill graduated from the Southern College of Optometry, as well as received residency training in Primary Care with a focus on Ocular Disease and Family Care. During his time at the Southern College of Optometry, he conducted and presented research, expanded his knowledge of the newest contact lens technology, ocular disease, and kept his passion for helping others.
When not in the office, Dr. Hill spends time with family, friends, and picking up new hobbies (there is a ukulele in the corner somewhere). Together with Dr. Amin, Dr. Hill looks forward to providing exceptional vision care for you and your family to best meet your visual needs.
